A 31-year-old British woman has died following a stabbing at a railway station in Rosenheim, Germany, according to police. Officers were called in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports emerged of a woman sustaining serious stab wounds.
Suspect detained at the scene
The victim was rushed to hospital, where she subsequently passed away, while the suspect, a 27-year-old German national, was detained at the scene. Authorities remain unclear regarding the motive and the sequence of events preceding the attack, and have appealed for witnesses to come forward to assist their investigation.
Police have called on anyone who observed “an argument” or a “physical altercation” at the station shortly before 1am local time on Sunday to get in touch.

According to The Telegraph, officers declined to confirm whether the two individuals were known to one another, or whether there was any connection to the Rosenheim Autumn Festival – an event comparable to Oktoberfest that attracts over a million visitors throughout its 16-day run.
