Two staff members at a Wimbledon care home have been celebrated for a combined 45 years of dedicated service. The milestone was marked at Sherwood Grange care home, where both employees have spent their entire careers.
Long-serving employees recognised
Senior care assistant Debbie has worked at the home for 25 years, while fellow care assistant Maria has contributed 20 years of service. The pair were presented with gifts and certificates by the home’s management team in a ceremony attended by colleagues and residents.
Debbie said: “I love working here. The residents are like family, and it’s a privilege to care for them every day.” Maria added: “This home is my second home. I’m proud to have been part of the team for so long.”

According to the home’s manager, the longevity of staff such as Debbie and Maria provides stability and continuity for residents, many of whom have complex needs. The manager stated: “Their dedication is remarkable. They bring warmth and professionalism to our home every day.”
