King's motivation stems from deeply personal experiences, having cared for his mother through her Alzheimer's journey and supporting his late co-star Dave Myers before his passing in 2024. "What really struck me was how little we understand about care until we're right in the middle of it," King emphasized, highlighting the emotional and financial toll that unprepared families face.

The campaign reveals alarming statistics: 65 per cent of UK adults currently have no care plan in place, while nearly half of Britons don't know where to begin with care planning. Perhaps most concerning, one in four people expect they'll need to sell their homes to fund their future care needs.

Home care services now average nearly £70,000 annually, while live-in care costs approximately £50,000 per year.
