TV presenter Lisa Faulkner has expressed her gratitude to fans after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this week. The 54-year-old Celebrity MasterChef star, married to chef John Torode, shared the news on Instagram following a routine mammogram. She has since undergone a significant operation and will now receive radiotherapy.
Faulkner's update and message to followers
In a new Instagram story, Faulkner wrote: 'Thank you for all your support and lovely messages. I promised I will read every word. So many of you going through this or know someone who is. Your love and kindness has really touched me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.' She added: 'I just wanted to say I've got a bit of healing to do, but I'm good. I'm well and feeling so much better.'

Famous faces including Amanda Holden, Danny Dyer, Ruth Langsford, and Denise Welch shared their support. Holden commented: 'I'm so glad you've shared this my angel. It will inspire and help so many people you've got this and we all love and adore you.' Dermot O'Leary and Holly Willoughby also sent their love. Faulkner previously explained her social media absence, revealing: 'I had surgery two weeks ago, it was quite a big op but it's all good and I've my results back and they've got everything out. So it's all clear and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks.'
