Incident Details
According to a statement from his publicist Róndine Alcalá, the performance was paused after an individual discharged tear gas toward the stage, causing an abrupt interruption. Audience members moved away from the area and received assistance. Martin and his team immediately left the stage as a precautionary measure while security personnel and local authorities worked to contain the situation and ensure the safety of those in attendance.
Although some team members advised Martin to cancel the concert, he decided to continue in order to fulfill his commitment to fans. Authorities confirmed that the situation was under control and that attendees could safely return.
Tour Continues
The statement confirmed that the Ricky Martin Live tour would continue as scheduled with upcoming performances across Europe and additional international dates. It concluded: “Ricky Martin and his team are safe and grateful for the support and concern received.”

Upcoming UK Show
Martin’s next tour stop is in Moldova on June 12. This morning, it was announced that he will play his first UK show in a decade this summer, a one-off performance at Norfolk’s Sandringham Estate on August 22 as part of the HeritageLive Festival. The festival runs from August 19 to 23 and also features Lionel Richie and Eric Clapton as headliners. Martin will be joined by special guests the Sugababes, Olly Alexander, and rising star Sophie Castillo.
