London is brimming with excellent pizza options, from New York-style slices to Michelin-starred creations. Among the myriad of pop-ups and street food vendors, Pizza Express has been a staple since 1965, known for its affordable dough balls and Romana bases. Now, the chain is embracing technology with a new location in Brixton.
Self-Ordering Screens Debut at Pizza Express Brixton
Pizza Express Brixton, which opened on May 2, is the first site to feature a self-ordering system. Customers can walk in, select their pizza from a screen, and choose to eat in, take away, or order delivery. The restaurant operates from lunchtime until 11 or 12 pm daily.
Menu and Offers
Classic pizzas like the American Hot and Sloppy Giuseppe are available, along with deals such as a classic pizza and drink for £9.95, or a pizzetta and drink for £6.95. The Brixton location is the first of three smaller Pizza Express sites set to open in the coming months, with Finsbury Park and Earl's Court next.
Free Margherita Giveaway
To celebrate the opening, Pizza Express Brixton is giving away 100 margheritas on Wednesday, May 13, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Customers should check the chain's social media for details. The restaurant is located at 462 Brixton Road, SW9 8EA.
This innovative approach marks a new chapter for the beloved chain, blending tradition with modern convenience.
