Coronation Street Legend Taken for Questioning in Theo Murder Case
Coronation Street Legend Questioned in Theo Murder

In today's episode of Coronation Street, available early on ITVX, DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) arrived to see Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) with news about the death of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). The discovery of a body in Weatherfield had been known for some time, but the victim's identity was only revealed last Friday.

Lisa Reveals Murder Investigation

Lisa and her colleague explained to Todd that they are now treating Theo's death as murder. Suspiciously listening in was Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), who left the house moments later. She raced to the funeral parlour, where George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) found her frantically cleaning his desk.

Christina was trying to distract herself after finding George's bloodied shirt. He calmly explained it was Theo's blood from a fight in the flat. In a panic, Christina told George that Lisa suspects murder and asked if he went anywhere else that night. Their conversation was overheard by Lisa, who questioned them about the bloodied shirt.

George Taken for Questioning

Lisa took George down to the station for questioning. Joined by Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), George carefully explained his movements. He claimed he was at home for most of the evening but later admitted to going for a walk. This inconsistency put him in hot water.

While Swain lacks physical evidence to prove George killed Theo, George has not been released. After learning this from Adam, Christina told Todd that George never mentioned the walk, and she wonders if he is hiding more. Todd thought she was jumping to conclusions, but she pointed out that if police believed George was innocent, he would be home.

Did George kill Theo? The evidence mounts as fans speculate. Stay tuned for more developments.
