Leadenhall Market Announces Full 2026 Weekend Pop-Up Market Schedule
The historic Leadenhall Market in the City of London has officially unveiled its complete lineup of weekend pop-up markets for 2026, marking what organizers are calling its most ambitious program to date. The announcement confirms the return of the popular SoLo Craft Fair and The Vintage Furniture & Flea Market, with an expanded roster of dates running from April through December.
From Medieval Meat Market to Modern Retail Destination
Having originated as a meat trading center in 1331, Leadenhall Market has undergone a remarkable transformation over its nearly 700-year history. Today, the iconic covered market serves as a sophisticated retail destination featuring jewelry boutiques, artisanal gift shops, and premium dining establishments. The weekend pop-up markets, which began trial runs in 2023 before launching fully in 2024, represent the latest evolution in the market's ongoing revitalization efforts.
"The response to our award-winning Weekend Market series over the past two years has been exceptional," said Ollie Goode, Leadenhall's asset manager. "Drawing Londoners and visitors into the heart of the City has been tremendously rewarding. For 2026, we're delighted to bring it back bigger and better, with an expanded line-up."
Expanded Market Offerings for 2026
The 2026 program features two distinct market experiences running on alternating weekends:
- SoLo Craft Fair: Launching on Saturday, April 11, this market will occur every other Saturday through December 12. According to official descriptions, it will showcase "high-quality, handcrafted pieces" including jewelry, art, home accessories, textiles, and children's toys.
- The Vintage Furniture & Flea Market: Beginning Sunday, April 19, this market will take place on the final Sunday of each month. It promises to be a destination for "mid-century furniture, antiques, retro homeware, lighting, rugs and one-off pieces."
Both markets operate from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and are free to enter, providing compelling reasons for visitors to explore the City of London outside traditional business hours and admire Leadenhall's famous glass ceiling architecture.

Creating a Seven-Day Destination
Goode emphasized the market's broader strategy: "We've worked hard to make Leadenhall Market a true seven-days-a-week destination, and it's fantastic to welcome more traders than ever before – creating even more reasons to spend time in the City at weekends."
This expansion comes as part of Leadenhall's ongoing efforts to enhance its culinary offerings and compete more directly with established food destinations like Borough Market. The market's pop-up initiative has proven particularly successful in attracting independent traders specializing in vintage furniture, handcrafted items, and antiques.
Notably, Leadenhall Market holds additional cultural significance as a filming location for the Harry Potter film series, adding to its appeal for both local visitors and tourists. The announcement of the 2026 market schedule coincides with other London developments, including the upcoming opening of the UK's first official Harry Potter flagship store on Oxford Street.
