Amid concerns over London's nightlife, several large venues have recently opened, including Exhibition in White City, Eutopia in Barking, and the revived Peckham Palais. Now, a spectacular new addition has been announced: Ironworks, a massive warehouse and riverside venue in east London.
Ironworks: A New Landmark Venue
Ironworks will occupy the historic site of the Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company in the Royal Docks, just north of the Greenwich Peninsula. The venue boasts a 78,000-square-foot warehouse and an expansive 80,000 square feet of riverside terrace overlooking the River Thames, accommodating up to 7,000 guests.
Location and Design
The venue's design emphasizes its unique riverside setting, with panoramic views and a focus on industrial heritage. The interior will feature cutting-edge sound, lighting, and visual production, creating an immersive experience for attendees.
Programming and Opening
While specific lineups are yet to be announced, organizers promise performances from some of electronic music's most in-demand artists, with names revealed in June. Ironworks will open in October 2026 with a limited run of weekend shows.
Behind the Venue
Ironworks is a collaboration between LWE and PROJEKT, the teams behind popular London venues such as The Cause, Printworks, Junction 2, and Tobacco Dock. Their combined expertise promises a world-class cultural destination.
Ironworks is located at Scarab Close, E16 1AF. For more on London's best clubs and upcoming venues, stay tuned.
