A new rooftop bar is set to open in London this summer, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city skyline. Named Arcus, the venue will be located on the roof of the Imperial Hotel in Bloomsbury, marking the area's first rooftop bar.
Arcus Rooftop Bar: A New Destination in Bloomsbury
Arcus will occupy one of Central London's largest rooftops, providing guests with near 360-degree vistas that stretch from the City and St Paul's Cathedral to the London Eye and the British Museum. Overlooking Russell Square, this modern sky lounge is designed to follow the sun's path, ensuring optimal views throughout the day.
Menu and Atmosphere
The 324-seat venue will feature high tables, a beautiful lounge, and a vast, seasonally inspired menu of small plates and carefully curated cocktails. The bar will offer a rhythm of daily rituals, evolving from day to night with sunrise sound baths, live performances, and sun salutations. Guests are invited to connect with their intentions, the neighbourhood, and the seasons.
Design and Art
The interior will blend a carefully curated mix of textures with original art by artist Adam Ellis. Canopied areas will ensure comfort regardless of London's unpredictable weather.
Opening Details
Arcus is expected to open in summer 2026, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed. The bar will be accessible to both hotel guests and the public. Imperial London Hotels, a family-run company since 1837, operates the Imperial Hotel and seven other properties in Bloomsbury.
Arcus will be located at 61-66 Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London, WC1B 5BB.
