Woman's Dream Apartment Overlooking Brentford Stadium Attracts Dating Red Flags
Woman's Stadium-View Flat Sparks Dating Red Flags

Noemi Oberhauser, a 26-year-old Londoner, has revealed that her dream apartment overlooking Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium has become a source of dating complications. She says men frequently message her with the sole intention of gaining access to her flat to watch Premier League matches for free.

Unwanted Attention from Football Fans

Oberhauser explained that she can often tell when a potential date is more interested in her apartment than in her. "I've had guys before where I could clearly tell they only wanted to go out with me so they could see the apartment," she said. "I think I've had one or two people ghost me after seeing the pitch, which is quite funny in hindsight." She added that mentioning the apartment in the first few texts is now a red flag for her.

Arsenal supporters are particularly persistent, inundating her with messages whenever the Gunners visit Brentford. "I get plenty of messages off people asking if they could come by to watch the match," she said. "Some offer to bring snacks and turn it into a cute date and sometimes people even offer to pay me money so they can watch the match from my house. Especially from fans from big teams, for example Arsenal I get quite a few messages because it's sometimes hard for them to get tickets for the away matches at Brentford."

Social Media Fame and Influencer Requests

The £1,200-a-month property first gained attention in 2024 when Oberhauser posted videos of the view online. Since then, she has attracted thousands of social media followers. However, the attention has not always been positive. She noted that some influencers have approached her asking to film content in her home, only to later pretend it was their own apartment. This has made her more cautious even with professional connections.

Silver Lining: Inspiration for Music

Despite the challenges, Oberhauser finds a creative upside. "The upside is that my dating disasters tend to make for my best songs, so I can't complain too much. A few of those tracks are actually coming out later this year," she said.
